Part of building installations is finding a way to make everything look clean. We're not trying to hide anything here, but I do want to avoid messy wiring. So all the heads have a small board attached which is static, and takes power in. This means that the robotic stuff is completely self contained, and can be taken off the base easily.

A couple of weeks ago we took the first batch of Lichtsuchende down to Inspace to try them in a big dark room...

This is a group of 3 lichtsuchen, all with lights as well as sensors. Starting to get a feel for the interaction. They have a real sense of personal space - if they get too close to each other they start jerking backwards and forwards angrily.
Lichtsuchende are light seeking robots, with a need for food, companionship and interaction, created in collaboration with [http://www.rociojungenfeld.eu/ Rocio Jungenfeld].
